Welcome, dear heart. I am so glad you're here. My name is Danielle Marie Noel.

I am an artist, writer, designer, and mystic, and my work moves through the sacred landscapes of our inner worlds and dreamscapes.

I carry a deep reverence for ancient mysticism and the wisdom teachings of old, and I channel this love into art made to awaken what we are missing in this lifetime.

Everything I create is offered as gentle guidance and tender companionship along the path to self discovery.

I have spent many years studying the subtle yet transformational magick of visual keys, crafting artwork that stirs the subconscious realms we often feel lingering at the edge of memory.

I believe an image can be a soft portal for the spirit, or a powerful catalyst that helps reveal the deeper truths we each carry within.

My work spans painting, illustration, digital collage, and design, and it draws its inspiration from the Sacred as it has revealed itself across the ages, in devotional art and text, and in the living moments that find us throughout our human experiences. I take art seriously as more than just aesthetics or items used to enhance a space. Whatever form the work takes, it is made to carry something, and I want people to feel that when they meet it.

My work is made in service of the person experiencing it.

I design my Oracles as thresholds rather than answers, so the meaning arrives through your own hands and heart as you shuffle. I think of the experience as threefold: the inner, the outer, and the higher. The body and its physical world, the mind and its feeling life, and the spirit that moves quietly through both. My hope is that you meet something of your own in the cards, rather than something of just mine.

HOW I GOT HERE

A religious Baptist upbringing opened a door into another reality when I was very young, and much of my life since has held the delicate work of unraveling, healing, and gathering my own truths by piecing them back together with gold at the seams. The questions that arrived early on never left me, and they eventually sent me into years of study across the world's religious traditions, into the Gnostic gospels and the Nag Hammadi library, into the Mystery schools and the long lineage of the Sacred Feminine that runs beneath so much of what I have known to be true from the very beginning.

Learning what had purposefully been left out changed the way I understood everything that I had been told, and it asked me to become a far more honest student than I was before. It taught me to stop sorting belief into true and false, and to listen instead, with real care, to the many ways people reach toward the Sacred.

What has held steady throughout my own journey is still my closeness to the Holy Family, and our beloved Miriam, companions and guides through every turn of the search, speaking truth above the distortions I often had to navigate. I have come to trust that no religion can hand us what our own spirit uncovers through Love. This is the foundation and compass upon which everything I create is built. The truest things often arrive quietly, and gently, without influence or artifice. Learning to remember this above the polarizing fear around us each day has been the work of a lifetime.

SISTERS OF THE ROSE

This lifelong quest for truth is braided into my vocation as an artist, and it is what carried me to the winter solstice in Egypt in 2018, where a chance encounter placed me shoulder to shoulder with Achintya Devi. The recognition between us was instant, like soul family meeting at a very auspicious moment in time. We have been in deep creation together ever since.

Much of this greater story also returns to our beloved Miriam of Magdala, who walked the way of Love. Not as doctrine, but as a way of moving through the world. As a woman, hers is the truth I try to live by each day: to meet what comes with Love, and when I fall short, to begin again.

The Magdalene Altar Oracle that Achintya and I have built from our shared devotion arrives soon, alongside other beautiful works still blossoming into form. All of this magick has reinforced my belief in divine synchronicity, and even more so in sacred orchestration. And there is so much still to share.

MY HEART AND SOUL

Painting has been my first love all along, held close through many years of working in other mediums. It deeply influences how I shape all of my digital work and how I blend and weave my details throughout my collages. Faces are where it lives most strongly for me. I have had a memory for them since I was small, so portraiture has never felt like something I chose.

My grandfather was a gifted artist by trade, and he is the one who first taught me how to hold a paintbrush and how to reflect what I was seeing onto canvas. He shared his portraiture work throughout his life as his gift to his community, as did his own father, and his before that, and for many generations back throughout my Manouche ancestry, it was the trade of my lineage, all of it conducted by men. I will be the first woman among them to take it up.

This year I have opened my own art studio in my hometown of Sidney, British Columbia, on Vancouver Island, returning to a calling that lives in my blood and bones. It will be in service, and in Love.
